Startline Leicestershire is our entry level event, designed for those who want to try a sportive, are interested in less hilly routes or want something of a training ride, with all the basics covered with a competitive entry fee!

The addition of the long route in 2024 was well received, so we once again have the three routes to choose from - 72, 58 and 41 miles. Taking place early April this will provide the opportunity for you to find the distance to suit you early season fitness. Other than a few possible tweaks, the routes will remain the same, providing a less demanding course for all with just the one nice climb on the medium and long routes to take you past the splendid Belvoir Castle before descending back down to join the short route in the Vale of Belvoir where the majority of the rides takes place.

All routes enjoy some of the quietest roads in the East Midlands, passing through some sleepy villages as you ride, and even passing the biggest village green in England!

This event includes an indoor refreshment stop on ALL routes where hot drinks plus a range of food will be provided to make sure you are well fuelled to finish your ride. You will also be served hot drinks and a hearty jacket potato with a variety to toppings after the event.

If you encounter any problems our mechanics and medical staff are ready to help. The event HQ at Hose village hall has plenty of parking. And as usual, this is all included in the entry of £33 which have have managed to hold at the same level as in 2024 :)
