OUR BRAND NEW sportive - AND OUR LONGEST!!

Working in partnership with Giant Lincoln we have created a fantastic sportive that will provide a long distance challenge through some magnificent countryside from Giant Lincoln in Doddington to their new store in Tugby, Leicestershire - the home of Cafe Ventoux.

Leaving Doddington Hall (just a few miles South West of the City of Lincoln) the route meanders along the flat lanes into Newark to pass the historic Castle before heading into the Vale of Belvoir where there will be a well stocked feed station where you will be able to re-fuel and take a rest before heading up and out of the vale to make your way into some short but sharp hills to arrive at the half way point at Giant Tugby where a second feed awaits.

Following another re-fuel you’ll be back on the bike and heading back over the ‘lumps and bumps’ of East Leicestershire and back into the Vale of Belvoir but on different roads, passing by Belvoir Castle as you descend to the 3rd feed of the day. A top up of fuel and you’ll be ready for the final leg back to Giant Lincoln on quiet, picturesque lanes of Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire.

Back at Doddington Hall you will be welcomed with a finishers medal, hot food and drink and time to relax and reflect on a great achievement!

For those who aren’t quite ready for a 200km challenge, there’s a shorter offering at 115km on mainly flat roads following the route to the first feed and picking up the route back home after some food and rest!

Start time will be as follows (subject to adjustment depending on number if riders):

• 200 km route starts from 0730

• 115 km route start from 0830

The finish will close at 1730.

Please note that Lincolnshire and Leicestershire are very popular for horse riders. Please do read the British Horse Society guidance on how to ride around horses HERE

Full support is offered throughout the day all included in the fee - which also includes parking.
